St Petersburg Activities on board

Having been to St P before we may stay on board one day as there are limitations to our days ashore. We have visited every Palace but will go again to The Hermitage and a few others. We may do several evening trips although I am told most of the "Special Events" i.e. Ballet are done by Students rather than Principals who are touring.

My question really is, does the Ship close down while there or are normal activities still taking place. I assume the Restaurants will all still be open and that the Pool etc are in full operation....probably a good day for the Spa.

Anyway after all this rambling....any thoughts.

With exceptions of lectures not being given pretty much everything stays as it would be any port day. The ship was delightfully empty in the evenings on board.;)
