KateHarper Posted June 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2005 I have been doing some research about hotels in the port of miami area. my friends and i are going down the day before our cruise and wanted to stay somewhere relatively cheap that is near the port (less than $100/night) port of miami holiday inn seems like a good choice but so does the clarion hotel and suites. which one is nicer? which one of more conveinent? the holiday inn doesnt have a shuttle to the port (i dont understand that one at all) but the clarion hotel does for $5. how much is an average cab ride from the holiday inn to the port? sorry for all the questions, we are very thrifty girls trying to get the most bang for our buck. SPUDNICK Posted June 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2005 Based on the information, I received from the Holiday Inn the taxi fare is approximately $7-$10 (maximum 4 people with luggage)
helicopter Posted June 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2005 We just returned from our Valor cruise and stayed the night before at the Holiday Inn. We found this hotel to be very sufficient. The hotel is very clean and looks to be recently updated. The taxi is about $9.00 to the ship, and the hotel sits basically at the bridge that takes you over the water to the pier. Bayside is across the street from the hotel and is a very nice way to spend the evening before the cruise. I think you and your friends would be very happy with this hotel. We booked it online for $93.00 plus tax.:)
