Jadn13 Posted March 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2013 What are the benefits of using this area and paying extra on a long cruise? Thanks for any help! Depends on when and where you are travelling Leaving Ft Lauderdale on a TA ending in South Hampton in April your weather will be cold/chilly (a couple days after departing) depending on what you are use to. These cruises are so relaxing, lots of sea days, but many spent inside.
mosbill Posted March 19, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted March 19, 2013 We are on TA 4/27 Caribbean..weather chilly?
Pam in CA Posted March 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2013 If the weather is chilly, the attendants will bring you blankets. If it's hot, they will bring you iced cloths. Except for the Island/Coral (which don't do T/A's), the Sanctuary is at the front of the ship so it can be very windy. If it's chilly, it'll feel a lot colder. Whether or not it's worth booking for the whole cruise is a personal choice. Usually, you get a break on the daily rate and pay $15/day instead of $20/day. Only you can decide whether it's worth it to you or not.
FritzG Posted March 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2013 On the TA's we've been on the Sanctuary has been pretty empty. Whether we've headed to the Med. or north, the crossing weather is usually pretty windy and cold. We take walks around the deck almost daily, and there have even been times when the Sanctuary is closed either due to weather or lack of passengers. I'll see how busy it is on a TransPacific when we go to Hawaii in three weeks.
