Well our cruise took to years to get here and it was over in seven days :(

But let me tell you those seven days on the Liberty were wonderful.

There were eight of us in total. Myself, my husband, our 3 yr old and our 1 yr old both girls, also we had both grammies, his mom and my mom, and then our newly married friends.

We flew from Maine on the 1st and stayed at the Holiday Inn POM, the hotel was nice nothing really to brag about, we picked this hotel because of the location on how close it wad to the port and also all the restaurants and Shops across the street. The fly down was pretty good considering it was a straight 3 1/2 hour flight with children, I do have to say they were well behaved, better so then I imagined. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale around 4, got in the SAS van and headed south to Miami, we got to the hotel around 5:30, checked in and decided were to go for dinner. We settled on the Hard Rock Cafe, I figured if the kids were a little loud no one would really notice considering its a pretty loud place all on its own. Did was ok, over priced but then again it is Miami. After dinner we were pretty tired so we headed back to the hotel for some much needed sleep. I'll be back later with the first day of the cruise.

I was on this cruise also! Looking forward to reading another person's perspective. Did anyone in your group get sick after Grand Turk? I was one of the unlucky ones, but at least it was at the end of the trip.

No, we did not get sick from Grand Turks, we went back to the ship to eat at all the ports, except of course Half Moon Cay.

Ok the day has come and we wake up to an overcast kind of day, who knew this OS how it would be for the majority of the cruise. So we all are up and ready to check out of the hotel by 10:30, we made our way through the hotel doors, were we await our chariot, the ride was quick and exciting for all, as we went over the bridge there she was the biggest ship we have ever seen. Now this is were I have to complain a little, as the driver pulls up to drop us of she does a great job of unloading all 20 pieces of our luggage, now the porter is standing about 10 feet away with his cart, don't you think he could have moved his rear end to the curb and load the luggage on to the cart, Im not talking all 20 piece just the ones that we are not carrying on with us. My husband his our newely wed husband bring the luggage over to him, were they load the luggage themselves, then the guys has the nerve to stand there with his hand out waiting for a tip, Yeah right I put a stop to that insanity, Im all for tipping don't get me wrong we are very generous when it comes to good service. So now that thats behind us.

This was a quick and easy process, myself and the hubs and both girls had a suite, do did our newly weds, both the grammies shared a balcony, all of our cabins were right next to each other on deck 7 midship, 7326,7330, & 7334 to be exact. Like I said this process was quick and easy. Even though both of our mothers didn't have a suite and didn't hold a VIP status, they allowed them to come to the VIP room with us. I know some of you frown upon this. Everyone got their S&S cards and waited patiently to board the fun ship. Finally after 20 long minutes of waiting we were escorted to the ship, I do have to say I felt a little bit important for about a minute, don't get me wrong you get what you pay for.

Finally the ship, seeing things through a 3 yr olds eyes is one of the best things ever. She was just amazed by this huge floating city.

First thing we did once we got onboard I went right to the excursions desk to pick our Cabana # while everyone else went to drop off all of our stuff in our cabins. To my surprise lucky #7 was still available waiting for us to grab it.

I then made my way over to our dining room Silver Olympian. I needed to drop off my daughters milk with the Matride to be stored in their refrigerator we was not a problem at all, there was A LOT of controversy about weither or not they would store it for me, they did with no problems...what so ever... Next we all met up and we were ready for lunch, Guys Burgers all around.

I ran into the same thing with porters. We were expected to bring the luggage over to THEM. I walked over and asked to borrow one of their carts. I guess they didn't want me toucing their precious toy, so they finally came over to the van.

Guys burgers they were all the hype people exploded about, I mean the burger itself alone just with the cheese is great, that's how the 1 yr old liked them, the rest of us loaded it up, I did mine with everything they had to offer except for the sauces I stuck with plain ole ketchup. After lunch it was time to head to the cabin, get the kids settled in and take a nice relaxing nap.

Nap time was great, dd 3 sleeps on the couch that's made into a bed, and dd1 sleeps in the crib they provided, I did bring her own crib sheet though, and there blankets, and everything else that was in there room that we really didn't need to bring. After nap we washed up and got ready for dinner. Before I get to that let me just say our room steward Pisit was one of the best staff members they have on board, I don't no how they do it remembering eveyones name in every single cabin on every single cruise, but they do and I can't say enough on how wonderful he was the entire cruise, everytime we saw him, he would always give the 3 yr old chocolate no matter what time of day or night it was, eventually it was an on going joke between her and him.

Next is the first night at dinner in the MDR.
