Islander - Since the search feature leaves something to be desired I figured I'd go straight to the expert. icon_cool.gif We'll be in St. Thomas 6/8 with 3 other ships yikes icon_eek.gif! We're planning on taking the 9am ferry from CA to St. John. Could you tell me where the ferry dock is, is there a ticket booth or do we pay once we board and if there could be a capacity problem with 4 large ships in port. We are going to hike to Honeymoon Beach and want to get a fairly early start and don't want to get turned away and then need to go to Red Hook.

Thanks for all your help with this and all the other thousands of questions you gratiously answer.

The Charlotte Amalie ferry dock is just past the Holiday Inn Hotel which is just past the shopping area in Charlotte Amalie. It is on the Waterfront apron for Charlotte Amalie Harbor.

The ticket booth is inside the ferry terminal area.

The ferries they use vary with each operator; generally they can hold a couple hundred.
