Noumea, Lifou, Mare & Isle of Pines

Anyone have suggestions for non cruise tours for these places - we are travelling in May. Ages range from mid 30s to mid 50s so don't mind if we have a range of suggested tours. ie adventure, nature etc.

 

Alternatively if you have done a Carnival Spirit tour of either of the above places and you think they were worth the money.

Lots of tour options are on offer at the cruise terminal in Noumea. Much the same as offered by the cruise ship but much cheaper.

 

Lifou and Isle de Pines are essentially beach days. Limited tour options, but enterprising locals will be there offering stuff.

If your ship takes you to Noumea on Sunday or Holiday there will be very limited choices.

Noumea I recommend the markets if you want freshwater pearls and the aquarium. Is also not a bad place to have lunch.

 

Isle of Pines, snorkelling around the rock (don't climb it!) and Lifou snorkelling in Jinek Bay is just fantastic.
