We were originally booked on the Triumph 5-day for this upcoming week, March 25. When that one was cancelled, we re-booked the Triumph 5-day for May 25. When we re-booked-with the 25% discount we decided to splurge for a balcony. Of course, that voyage was cancelled. BUT there is a silver lining. My PVP called and we are now booked on the Magic 7 day for May 26.( Oh the agony of having to wait a whole extra day :D) We did give up our balcony for an interior deck 9, but we are taking a 7 day rather than a 5 day. OH! AND the best thing...we only have to pay an additional 16$, WITH pre-paid tips...OH! AND we also get 200$ OBC! .... OH! AND my FCC which was 50$ for the 5-day is now 100$ for the 7-day.

Sounds a lot like my wife's Triumph ordeal.

 

She and 3 girlfriends were going Feb 21 - 4 women in an inside cabin, 2nd deck. Two of the women going are single moms and price was an issue. They paid $219 each.

 

After the first cancellation, they rebooked for May 2 moving to the 9th deck balcony.

 

After the 2nd cancellation, they rebooked for June 13, same cabin with a $200 OBC. Since 3 of them work for the school district, now they dont have to use vacation.

 

I told my wife last night, if they cancel again - Carnival will pay her to get on the boat.
