gquest Posted June 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2005 Hello, I will be traveling to Nassau via the Carnival Liberty in March and I was wondering if anyone had any advice about booking the Comfort Suites for the day in order to gain access to Atlantis. The ship will be there from 1-8 pm. Here are some questions I have regarding subject: 1. How far away is the cruise ship from Atlantis(how long does it take)? 2. How long does it take to check in and out of the Comfort Suites? 3. If I book a room for 2 can I get 4 bracelets? 4. How long is the wait for the slides? 5. What time do the slides close? 6. What are some don't miss things to do at Atlantis? 7. Is 7 hours enough time? 8. If it is just two people getting a room is $212 worth it? I know a lot of this is subjective, but any input would help. Thanks :)
scubagirrl Posted June 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2005 During the winter months (including march) the pools close around 5pm as dusk approaches, slides a little earlier. This is the height of spring break, and the slides can have a waiting line up to 45mins or so. Seeing that you won't dock until 1pm, this doesn't leave you much time to enjoy the exclusive parts of the property. You'll only have about 3 hours max. Doesn't seem worth it for $100 a person. I suggest you head to the public beach adjacent to the Atlantis, then wander inside the Coral Towers lobby entry and check out the casino, shopping, lobbies and indoor aquariums. You can even purchase a pass to the DIGs for $29 to view the aquariums and predator lagoon from inside the tubes. Atlantis is only 10 mintues away by cab (most cabs wait til the van is filled up before they take off). Check in usually is pretty quick (20/30 minutes), but this is high season, and quite a few flights arrive around noontime, so I wouldn't bet it would be a breeze. As for bracelets, they put them on you based on your reg. card at comfort suites, so if only 2 of you show up, you'll only get 2 bracelets. As for much see - I'd have to say the aquariums. falcon5travels Posted June 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2005 I had been on the Disney Thread, researching my own Disney Cruise. Here is one thread to read thru, (good info towards the middle) but you may want to do your own search on whol Disney category. Disney's 3 & 4 day goes to Nassau and seem alot of people do this. Good Luck http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=18945&highlight=comfort+inn+paradise+Island
