I am sailing on the Caribbean Princess on Saturday and noticed that there is another tropical disturbance in the Caribbean. Does anyone know at what point the ship will choose to go an alternate route? If it is forecasted to rain the entire route do they still go that way? Has anyone ever been on a cruise where it rains a lot of the time? If so, is it still enjoyable. I was really looking forward to all the outdoor activities. Hopefully this storm will pass before we get to our ports.

Rain will not make them alter their coarse on a cruise, but a hurricane will. We have actually reversed ports before on a cruise to avoid the rough seas from a hurricane. They will change coarse to avoid damage to the ship or danger to the passengers but because of rain, there is nothing that they will do. Sorry!

There are still lots of things to do on a ship and usually, even though the forcast calls for rain, it seldom rains for the entire week.

Enjoy your cruise.
