Best Rate For An Inside Cabin?

Best rate for an inside cabin? We have two young people who would like to cruise but need the best rate possible? What is normal? I called Costa today asking for rates for Cat 2, inside, for the beginning of April. I think the rate I was given was high, with tax $701.12 PP? What do you think?

When I priced thru costa I thought the price was high and told the girl, she than gave me the name of a TA that Costa recomends. They were almost half the price. The TA was Cruisesonly.com. They were very good. Am using them again for our next cruise.
That price does seem high. I cruised on Costa in April(spring break) and paid a little more than that and we had a Pana, suite on the Costa Med.

Thanks for the tip about Cruiseonly.com, they beat the Costa price by $50.00 pp. Still high for a inside cabin. They told me to hold off for a month and the price could drop, I will return to Cruiseonly.com. Again, thanks.

They also got me a 150.00 cr. 7 days before we sailed. I never had to call them if the price want down, they always called me.

i booked 2 inside quads for the 12/21/04 departure....we got an upgrade to a oceanview veranda....maybe luck of the draw, but it is worth trying. inside guarantee for four was 1422.96

I just found

4/03/05 on the Med. in the Carribbean for $549.00 plus tax.
4/03/05 on the Atlantica in Carribbean for $599.00 plus tax
4/10/05 on the Med in Caribbean for $549.00 plus tax.

I am booked on Atlantica November 28th for $962.24 for 2 persons in an inside.

That is $429.00 pp plus $52.12 in taxes.

So add $52.12 to the above $549 and $599 and you have the rate.

The secret is to book an inside guarnteed cabin or a 1A cabin. then hope for an upgrade. We went from a 1A to a 3. We went from bottom of the ship on deck 1 to deck 8.

Keep watching the internet. I always watch Vacationstogo.com and when I find the price I want I go to my local TA tell them what I have found and they always have been able to meet or beat the prIce.

Try 02cruise.com. We booked with them for back to back in December 04 and saved over $2,000 on the Coasta price. I spent over 2 months investigating on the web the cheapest company and they came up tops. Enjoy

I just booked a 5 night on the Med for 4 (2 adults 2 kids) same cabin inside for $1194 online through ourcruiseco.com. Never used them, but price was right. Now if I can just endure the food for 5 days...
