Suites Everywhere!! Please help.

Am considering a Costa cruise over Thanksgiving on the Atlantica. This would be for two adults and our 14 year old son. There are three different types of suites. (each priced within $200 pp of eachother.) They are also located mid and aft. Could anyone please help me with which suite to choose and which location. Also, is deck 8 noisy with the pool above??

Thank you.

I was in the Panorama suite(6176) mid ship. Cabin was a nice size, we never felt like we were tripping over each other, the bathroom was bigger than ours at home. They only thing I didn't care for was the life boats were right under our balcony. Well not under, if we looked over the balcony all we saw was life boats. It was still a great cabin and balcony, would book this cabin again. I loved the balcony, it was a nice size. On one of the sea days we ordered room service for lunch. The butler brought it and served it on the balcony, I loved it.

We were mid ship, never felt the ship rock.

icon_rolleyes.gif The suites were definitly big, I don't know about 4 people but there were two adults and one kid and we had plenty of room in our room. For some reason, when we try to get a grand suite they say there is no triple or quad occupancy availible, only double. The Panoramic suite will probably be your best option seeing how they only have a few regular suites and they are about as big as a regular room.

My bad, I misread your post as saying that you had two teens traveling. You should be fine.

I've been in S category on deck 4, which is a HUGE room but small balcony. We were last in Grand Suite aft on deck 8. Separate bedroom and living room. The balcony is huge, but people from the pool deck can look down and see about 1/4 of your balcony. We rarely heard any noise.

Thank you for all your replies. I have a brochure and also called Costa but still could not get specific information about layout etc. We are holding a GS on deck 8 aft. Think we'll keep it.

In appreciation.

We were on the Costa Med on deck 8, and we definitely could hear noise from the deck above. We were in a cat. 10 and directly under the pool area. The chairs being moved around were somewhat of an annoyance, so if you think that would bother you, and can get a suite elsewhere, I would avoid it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I had an upgrade to a Panorama Suite on the 6th floor in the mid ship and on the whole week we didn't heard not even the people of the next cabin. We had a huge balcony. The suite is big and even for 4 persons, you will have space. You will love it as I did.

We didn't hear a thing in our aft suite on deck 8, I think it all depends on the location of the cabin and where the traffic flows are.
