tweis Posted March 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Does Disney have an Express Disembarkation - where you carry all your luggage off and leave at your own time? DCL does offer this service but I'm pretty sure you still have to be off the ship pretty early. If you choose not to eat at your assigned dining time on debarktion day you can eat in Cabanas. :)
Host Mick Posted March 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Does Disney have an Express Disembarkation - where you carry all your luggage off and leave at your own time? They don't really need it. Once the ship is cleared by the authorities, you're free to leave. There might be a line in the lobby but it goes quickly. It's not like the other lines where you have to sit around for an hour then not hear your color called as we did on our last (very last) RCCL cruise. antmaril Posted March 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We walked off the Disney Wonder on Monday. We got in line on Deck 4 about 7:00 a.m. (did not eat breakfast) and waited about 10-15 minutes. It was all very easy. We were off the ship and though Customs in a matter of minutes. mom x4,grandma x4 Posted March 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We have done the express the last 3 cruises with taking our own luggage. We ate at Cabanas which opens extra early and wont be listed on the paper telling you where and when to go for breakfast. We walked right off at 7 a.m., down the escalator and through customs and out the door. 5 minutes tops!! A few people said they had all their luggage and they didn't. They got off early with us thinking they could grab their luggage and then found not all the luggage was in the luggage claim area for them to pick up so they had to stand around and wait for who knows how long waiting for them to finish up putting out the luggage. They would of been better off waiting for the normal time to get off so they could of grabbed their luggage and exited without having to wait. For us it worked great. Mom0511 Posted April 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2013 I agree, you don't need it. DCL did awesome managing our bags. When we got off the boat at 7:30, all of our bags were there, the porters were super helpful, and we had no delays.
