Cocoa Cay Cabana for 7

So, I know that the Cabanas are said to hold "4 people" of "5 people' in the family cabana. We have 7 adults. I think we would like a cabana to just have a place to hang out hats. We will not purchase two cabanas, as that would be a waste because we will all be hanging together around one I'm sure.

Question is, if we purchase a cabana, can others join us? Can I add extra people on to a cabana for an extra charge? Is there a "guard" that only lets Cabana owners into the area?

We had a Cabana on Princess Cay and it was wonderful. Didn't matter how many people were hanging out at your cabana. We booked it for 2 people, then asked for early tender tix for 2 more with no problem (although their capacity was officially 4, no difference in price).
