My wife and I's (W/O Kids)upcoming cruise on Wonder to the Bahamas will be a short four days. I would hate to miss anything we would enjoy (Excursions, Events, Food, Games, venues etc.) out of ignorance. Any tips would be great.

Thanks in advance.

The Golden Mickies It is an awesome stage review. We are in our 40's and saw it last August. Will be crowded so go early and stand in line. They will serve drinks before the show in the therater. Yes you have to pay for them.

Dueling Pianos I hope is still there. On Route 66. Ask them to play Barry Manilow. You'll love their response. Went here 2 nights. They did 2 shows a night. One family and one adult. They are just so funny.

You will enjoy it alot.

You didn't say how old your kids were, but one family activity on the ship is to help you kid make a kite. you and your wife could each help one child so they will both have a kite. Then the next day on castaway cay they have a small beach area for you to help your child to fly it. It's ok if the kids are young, there is no age limit for this activity.

Since you said the Bahamas, i'm assuming you mean Nassau.

There is a really neat Pirate's museum there. you can walk to it from the ship.It is a big purple building, 2 blocks behind the straw market. Easy to find. I believe it was $12 per adult, I don't remember the kids $. It was really a neat museum, it starts out quit dark, so if you have little kids you may want to walk along a little quicker there, but as you enter a pirate ship replica to see how pirates lived on board it gets much brighter. I will warn you that there are lots of plaques to read, it is a historical museum, some kids might be a little bored with that, but we thought it was well worth our time and money. The pirate who greets you was a real HOOT!! He kept trying to "lift" our valuables while talking to us.

The horse drawn carriage ride was very nice, about 25 minutes long, $20. per adlut.

We have also done the glass bottom boat tour. This boat can be pretty bouncy at times, depending on the weather, but the bright colorful fish were great to see. Small kids would have to be lifted up to see over the wall to the glass bottom, but there were lots of kids and they loved it. There is a bathroom on board and a free glass of fruit punch on the way back. we did not get to see the sunken ship wreck due to choppy seas.

The Atlantis tour was really good. First you ride a narrated boat tour across the channel to Atlantis. You do have to walk a ways to get to the hotel. Once you cross through the casino you enter the aquarium. Children are welcomed there. It is set up like the lost city of Atlantis. The fish are great, the guide is very knowledgible and friendly. The windows are very large and go down towards the floor enough so even the littlest kids can see. Umbrella strollers will fit through this part of the tour. After this you go outside, then you encounter some stair that are not stroller friendly! but if your strollers fold and the kids are old enough to walk a few stairs it will be no problem. You go under a restaurant and see lots of sharks and big fish. Then back to the hotel. Then you can re-enter the aquarium as many times as you want and go at your own speed. You have a wrist bracelet as admission. Kids like to go back through at their own speed and get a good look. There is a small gift shop there too. When your done you can walk back to the docks and catch a boat back to the dock near the ship. They run quite often so you can take your time. There are a few little shops you walk by, but not many. But there are plenty of shopping opportunities near the ship, just follow the crowd.

If your kids want to do the character meet and greets on ship. do yourself a favor, show up several minutes early. Better to wait 15 minutes at the beginning of the line than an hour at the back only to be disappointed that the characters have gone back for 45 minutes. Look at your navigator for the places and times the characters will be out. Sometimes one will be in the gazebo on deck 9 by the family pool. Usually there is little to no line there, as most people are swimming in the pool and don't see them at first.

Also the morning you get to CC, the navigator will tell you a time when the characters will be out. They will be along the walkway to the beach, These lines are typically short and move very quickly as people are all in a hurry to get a beach chair. Also just behind the family beach there is a gazebo where characters show up on and off and the lines go very quickly and are often short, because people are so busy having fun they don't even know that the characters are there. The grouper game room is a fun place that most people never even see. If your kids are older or for yourselves there is pool, shuffleboard, basketball, large chess and checkers set. chip it golf, and a large sandbox for younger kids to play in. It is covered so your out of the sun and out of some of the wind too. If your kids are young and you want to rent bikes they do have a lot of them with baby seats and helmets and you can rise to the far side of the island, towards the adult beach, and them off to the right is a long walking and biking trail you can ride. there are water stations in several locations.

On the buffet, one side is set up with kid friendly foods, such as pizza, mac and cheese, fruit, jello, hot dogs, chicken strips, fries etc... That is handy for kids too.

There are so many things to do on the ship i don't know where to begin. Just read the navigator as soon as you get into your room and plan from that. If your kids are going to go to the kids clubs, get them checked in and they will have their own navigators. Each evening a new navigator will be delivered to your room so you can plan out the next days activities for everyone. We have never been disappointed yet, we have been on 7 disney cruises and we have already booked 8 and 9 and 10.

WE have gone as a couple and with our kids and grandkids, from 2 to 14. We havnt had any complaints yet, maybe just one. They make you get off the ship at the end of the cruise. Have a magical cruise!

If you have any specific questions, just ask and I'll try and answer them for you.

There are very few things you should not miss, much more is what you should miss, but there... TIP: you will probably fail to make reservation for Italian restaurant, so feel free to order pannacota and tiramisu for desert, no matter what restaurant youre in. Waiter will cry, but he is obligated to get you what you ask. If he doesnt - do not tip him, youre not obligated too.
