patterson3 Posted April 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2013 Has anyone had the chance to take a Tahiti cruise on either or both of these ships? If so, how would they compare? I know the Gaugian is more expensive, but also all-inclusive and includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles.

Paul G is a much better choice for that area,
flamomo Posted April 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2013 We sailed on the Ocean when she was still the Tahitian, on the 10 day r/t Papeete itinerary. WONDERFUL cruise and itinerary, and she's a lovely ship!!! I'd sail on her again in a hearbeat. The minisuite we had was roomy and comfortable, the crew and service weres excellent, the food was great, and while everything is ln a smaller scale, everything we are accustomed to on the larger Princess ships is there on the Ocean. Rare Keith1010 Posted April 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2013 You may have done this already but be sure to read the reviews on each ship posted on the member review section of Cruise Critic. Keith
luv2cruise450 Posted April 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2013 The Paul Gauguin is a superb ship with a wonderful staff and is highly rated for its food and French Polynesian experience...the day on the motu was just wonderful...if this is in your budget...go for it!
