Walking Barbados

For those who like to walk it is easy to get from the Cruise Ship Terminal to downtown Barbados.

 

We make a left on the main road and walk about 20 minutes into town. The beach and water are on the right side and on the left side there are some nice craft stores shortly after you exit the cruise ship terminal area.

 

Downtown you can visit the historical church, synagogue, view the outside of the parliament buildings and walk around the area to see local markets and other venues.

 

Of course, if you prefer other area such as beaches you can take a taxi to several nice beaches on the island and/or to various resorts.

Also, just after you pass the area in the pictures turn into the giant fish market and see them process the daily fish catch.

There are many places you can stop as you take the walk into town and lots of places to visit in town.
