3RD Party insurance?

We have used Insure my trip...on most of our cruises and also have bought it from the TA we used for some cruises. Sorry, but I'm not sure what thrid party insurance is. Can you explain to me what third party insurance?

On this forum "third-party" generally refers to a plan offered by someone other than the cruise line. I doubt that it's an official insurance term, just kind of shorthand.
