Fort Lauderdale Air Show - Trouble getting to port on Saturday???

We are sailing out of FLL on Saturday. The FLL Air Show is going on the 20th (Saturday) and 21st (Sunday). Does anyone know if we will have issues getting to the cruise port?

The air show attracts thousands of people into the Fort Lauderdale area, so traffic will most likely be heavy on all the major roads leading to/from the beach, i.e. A1A, Las Olas Blvd, Sunrise Blvd, Oakland Park Blvd, and Federal Hwy (US1). Plan to head to the port early and avoid the entrance to Port Everglades from 17th Street, and rather enter through the State Road 84 / Federal Hwy entrance. I live on Fort Lauderdale Beach and have to drop friends off at the port on Saturday, so I will plan to leave my house around 11:00 am.

 

Note: A1A is closed to all car traffic from now until Monday 4/22 from Sunrise Blvd south to the Pelican Grand Hotel.
