Oct Elation cruise

My inlaws are going on their first cruise for their 25th anniversary and booked an oceanview on Elation.

 

I've never cruised Carnival, so I can't tell them much. What sorts of things can you tell me about the Elation for first time Carnival cruisers?

 

They're departing out of Galveston on the Western Caribbean itinerary.
