I booked Red Roof Inn for Baltimore cruise...

It's the Red Roof Inn DC/BWI Airport in Linthicum Heights MD. It looks to be about a 20 minute drive to the port.

It was a good price. We will get there late and leave by 10 a.m. to head to the ship... so just a place to sleep! Is this a good choice location wise? Meaning... easy to get to the port??

Thank you!

I just recommended that Red Roof Inn to someone on another forum yesterday. I usually stay right next door at the Hampton Inn [i am accumulating HiltonHonors Bonus Points]. I will be there next Monday and Saturday nights.

You made a good choice in price and location. It is a quiet and safe area close to the airport and the City of Baltimore. Around the corner from the motel, on Nursery Road, are many chain restaurants and other hotel/motel brands. Yes, there is a Starbucks! And there is a movie theater complex if you run into a rainy day.

From the Red Roof Inn to the Maryland Cruise Terminal is about a twelve mile trip. Except for the portion on Nursery Road, it is all on Interstate Highways until you exit for the terminal. It should take about fifteen minutes.

Personally, I would drive back toward the airport terminal and then take I-195 westbound until it reaches I-95 northbound towards Baltimore. Then just stay on I-95 until the exit for the terminal [exit 55] just before the Fort McHenry Tunnel.

I'll attach an aerial photo of the terminal and you will note that it is very convenient to, and next to I-95. [click on photos to enlarge]

Have a great trip!
