Gopherpharm Posted April 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2013 We'll be docking in St. Thomas next month and plan to go to St. John for the day. We've planned out our ferry schedule but what is left is to decide which beach to go to on St. John. My question is, is it feasible/safe for four young women to walk between beaches (example: cinnamon bay to trunk bay)? Are there trails between these beaches or would we have to walk along the actual roads? I realize there are taxis as well but we like to hike and some of the beaches appear pretty close together (a few kilometers). Thanks for the help! blue_water Posted April 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2013 We have not hiked the STJ trails along the west coast so cannot answer your question. But there are several hiking trails leading to many of the beaches. It may require a taxi in some spots to accomplish in the time you have available but perhaps someone with experience will help. I would also pose that question on the St Thomas forum on tripadvisor where the experts on St John are also helpful. http://www.stjohnbeachguide.com/trails/trails_home.html http://www.greatexpectationsusvi.com/st-john-usvi/outdoor-activities/hiking
