lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #126 Share Posted April 23, 2013 We asked someone if they could do something about it, but nothing was ever done. Jason and I used the pool for a little bit. A little after 1 p.m., we were all starving so we pushed the call button. And waited. And waited. And waited. And pushed the button again. We waited almost 25 minutes and our server never came. By this time, I was starving and Lance wasn't feeling 100% so we decided to go back to the ship for good. We stayed from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. After the chairs being stolen, slow service and a much bigger crowd than when we first got there, I don't think I will ever get a cabana there again. It was good while we had it, but it just wasn't for us.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #127 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Once back on the ship, I had some Blue Iguana chicken tacos. They were yummy! The cheese in the salsa bar and some sour cream made them super delish! I had cookies and a rich piece of cake called Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake. I took a nap and then bought more photos. They have this really cool rewards card now where you get free gifts with the more photos you buy. I got a couple of free photos of the ship, but the coolest free gift was a tumbler with a map of the Caribbean. Before dinner (our second formal night), we took photos on the stairs. lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #130 Share Posted April 23, 2013 You didn't see signs for a helicopter tour business in Grand Turk, did you? Nope, I don't think so. Those are the one for like $20, right? No thanks! LOL! We didn't venture too far from Margaritaville.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #131 Share Posted April 23, 2013 We had dinner in the MDR and all the waiters and waitresses danced Gangnam Style! DH made fun of me for getting fried chicken on a formal night. Lol!

lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #133 Share Posted April 23, 2013 When DH and I got back to the room (we had Jenny and Lance with us), I opened the door and quickly scanned the bed and saw no towel animal. I looked up and saw a MONKEY hanging from the light fixture and I freaked out! I've wanted a money for three cruises now and I finally got one! We checked Jenny's room and she got a monkey too, but with a different face (and on her FIRST cruise, no less!) My monkey! Jenny's monkey: Me and my monkey! lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #134 Share Posted April 23, 2013 That night, we all went to a couple of the adult comedy shows. They had new comedians. Next up is the last sea day and my highly anticipated Behind the Fun tour! :D
rudechuck Posted April 23, 2013 #135 Share Posted April 23, 2013 I'd never gotten this towel animal before either. I think it might have been a scorpion! I'm thinking Lobster. :D
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #136 Share Posted April 23, 2013 The Behind the Fun tour was awesome! I liked the engine control room, the bridge and the galley the best. I wrote down the places I remembered we went to and some fun facts I remembered. The tour started at 9 a.m. We were to meet in the library at 8:45 a.m. Right before we left, we were wanded by a security guard. The tour lasted until 12:30 p.m. Here is a list of the places I remember seeing: Stage/backstage/dressing room Bow (hot tub/smoking area for the crew) Morgue/Brig doors Maintenance and paint rooms Outside doors of crew cabins (we weren't able to see inside a crew cabin, only pictures of one). Crew dining rooms/bar/internet I-95 Sheet folding/towel folding rooms Engine control Bridge Galley Steakhouse The tour ended in the Steakhouse where will filled out a survey, got a free drink and these goodies: I'm an honorary team member! :D The swan is actually soap that we got from the steakhouse: These were waiting for me in my room after the tour:
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #137 Share Posted April 23, 2013 I'm thinking Lobster.:D I thought so too, at first, but Jenny had a lobster one night and it didn't look like this! I dunno. It was different, whatever it was! :)

lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #139 Share Posted April 23, 2013 They also gave us a little pamphlet with some interesting facts and a recipe for warm chocolate melting cake on the back! Here are the photos that were delivered to my room that night (they are included in the price of the tour): Me and the captain!
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #140 Share Posted April 23, 2013 After the tour, I found DH, Jenny and Lance on the Lido deck. I grabbed a sandwich from the deli and hit up the chocolate buffet! After missing it on my first cruise, I will never miss it again! :) My favorite item was actually the pink rock thing on the front of the plate. It was strange, but yummy! Almost like a cross between rock candy and space ice cream.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #141 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Jenny and I went to the Love and Marriage show that afternoon. I got some ice cream after the show and before our last dinner.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #142 Share Posted April 23, 2013 We were following the Carnival Victory all day. When I was up on the bridge during my tour, they told us that the Victory was due into port a half an hour before us. Someone asked how come we were on the opposite side of her as we were earlier and the Second Petty Officer Antonio said "we are playing." Lol! ;) Carnival Victory during the day: Carnival Victory at night:

lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #144 Share Posted April 23, 2013 I tried the Grand Marnier Souffle and I didn't like it. It definitely tasted eggy like some other members on the board told me.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #145 Share Posted April 23, 2013 After dinner, we went back to the room for a bit and then up to Lido. I had Twin Chocolate Cake and DH had more apple pie. The cake was yummy!
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #146 Share Posted April 23, 2013 We then hit the aft bar for our final drinks of the cruise. :( Putting the chocolate in my Mocha Chocolate Getaway: Some nice man on the cruise offered to take a picture of me and DH. DH was thrilled (sarcasm). Lol! But I think the photo came out really nicely!
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #147 Share Posted April 23, 2013 So that's it! :( Debarkation couldn't have gone any smoother. We did self assist and were off the ship by 7:38 a.m. Customs collected our forms without even looking at them and glance at our passports. We took a taxi to FLL for a rate of $72 (without tip). We weren't about to mess around with SAS again! All four of us and our luggage actually fit in a standard sized taxi. We were at the airport at around 8 a.m. for our 11:15 a.m. flight. Our flight was delayed, but only by 10 minutes.
lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #148 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Here are a few miscellaneous photos I forgot to include. The first one is of the atrium chandelier using the "sparkle" setting of my camera. I forgot I had that setting until the last night! And the last of the professional pics I bought: Feel free to ask any questions! I might come back to this and add photos of my Fun Times. I tried scanning them last cruise, but had trouble getting them readable. I have a document setting on my camera that might work.
Lake-Cruiser Posted April 23, 2013 #149 Share Posted April 23, 2013 When we got to Margaritaville, we were the first ones to claim a cabana! I asked the people at the gift shop desk and they led us to the right person to get the key to the cabana. We chose #10 because it was closest to the beach. The cabana had A/C, wicker furniture with cushions and a call button for our server. It also had two deck chairs on the little front porch. Jenny and Lance hit the beach and DH and I ordered waters, a soda and some onion rings. DH, Jenny and I then went shopping and I bought a magnet. When we got back to the cabana, the two deck chairs on our front porch were gone! Someone stole them! I was livid! Did you leave towels or anything on the porch so that people could tell someone had rented the cabana. We have rented one also for our next cruise. lovestocruise19 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #150 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Did you leave towels or anything on the porch so that people could tell someone had rented the cabana. We have rented one also for our next cruise. No, I didn't think to do that. But then again, I probably wouldn't have done that because they might have stolen our towels too! And you have to pay for misplaced towels! But really, empty or full, dragging chairs off the decks of cabanas is just plain rude! I paid for those! I'm still mad about it, can you tell? Lol!
