Gabsabunch42 Posted June 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2005 Hello. We will be staying in an inside cabin on the main deck on Glory (Sorry, we are cheap lol). It looks like we will be under the galley. Is that bad -- will it be incredibly noisy at night?
serene56 Posted June 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2005 Did you pick that cabin? Depends on a number of things-- where the cabin is located under the galley and how light of a sleeper you are. The newer ships are better insulated with the noise so if you are an ok sleeper I dont think you will hear anything.

We needed two inside rooms next to each other. From the looks of the ship plan, we are right around the corner from elevators, almost exactly mid-ship. kathy7558 Posted June 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2005 We had an oceanview at midship right around the corner from the elevator on the Main Deck on the Victory last month. The floor plan showed we were under the galley, too. We heard nothing except what sounded like a really big vacuum cleaner running occaisionally and not at night when we were trying to sleep. Hope this helps.
Gabsabunch42 Posted June 17, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 17, 2005 Thanks for the info, Kathy! Quiet is nice. But we sleep pretty heavy anyway. and there is always earplugs. Whatever happens, we will have a great time!
