How long will it take ot transfer from Manhattan to JFK?

Quick question, how long would it take to get from Midtown NYC (E45th Street) to JFK for a 7:30 AM flight on a weekday?

 

I'm trying to book a taxi and need an idea of timings.

assuming you intend to get there 2 hours in advance which means 5:30 you should leave the city by 5. you should not have any traffic at that time and you should make it to jfk within a half hour.
