BeyondKen Posted April 28, 2013 #26 Share Posted April 28, 2013 It did not feel any smaller than the Glory, maybe because Disney has no casino!
myfamilyluvs2cruise Posted April 28, 2013 #27 Share Posted April 28, 2013 We love Carnival- but also have tried RCCL and Disney. Had the most amazing first time Disney cruise last fall. The service is over the top, the food was excellent (IMO -as good as Carnival, better than RCCL and they were very accomodating to our dietary issues- as we are GF). The Disney "magic" is something special, that is for sure! Entertainment is first rate. And, you can bring your own alcohol on board, which saved us a ton of money- you just have to keep it out of the common areas. We were on a 7 night cruise and were nowhere near ready to get off at the end. And, I basically had to drag my husband on- he did not think he would like it. Why not try it? You can always book the Magic, but it is hard to get a good deal on Disney.
ManyMore Posted April 28, 2013 #28 Share Posted April 28, 2013 If you can afford it.. do it!! We did the Disney Magic, 12 adults no kids and we had a BLAST! I would cruise it again if I could afford the deal! :D
slk09 Posted April 28, 2013 #29 Share Posted April 28, 2013 If it is only $500 more I would do it. You may not get another chance to sail Disney for that kind of price. Our first cruise was on the Disney Magic and it was an incredible cruise - and the one that got us hooked! My kids were teens on that cruise but had a great time and made many great friends. They prefer Carnival over Disney now though. As others have said with young kids they will love Disney and the service is exceptional. There isn't much night life though and no casinos. The shows and fireworks are great! And Castaway Cay is awesome!:)
NJoyCruise Posted April 28, 2013 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2013 I simply enjoy the casinos on board, which is the only reason I won't cruise with disney. I make it up by going to WDW, then cruising out of PC since my family loves Disney. If having a casino on board is not an issue for you, I say go for it! I'm sure your little cruiser will love it! Enjoy.
