We went to St. John and Halifax last June on the Voyager. We had a wonderful time, though it was mid-June and too cool in the North Atlantic to enjoy the outside activities and decks on our trip. Hopefully will all this 95 degree weather we've been having in the Northeast recently, your trip will be different.

Biggest tip I have: go to the games and activities on board and meet people. In port, talk to the locals. We found them to be quite friendly and interesting last year.

We didn't plan any excursions on that trip, so we just wandered around town. We did choose at the last minute to take the harbor tour on one of the tall ships - I think that was in Halifax, not sure - memory is going. :) Anywyas, it was really great - especially watching the crew sail the ship.
