PACIFIC questions

Hoping for answers here...

We are on the July 10, 2005 Bangkok to Beijing sailing (anyone joining us?)

first, Is Princess now using Unithai Port in Bangkok. Can anyone from recent sailings confirm?

Does the ship keep our passports for the duration of the cruise, and, if so, how does that affect changing currency in port?

Are there enough taxis at the pier in Kuantan to accomodate the passengers of the Pacific?

Where does the Pacific dock in Shanghai, in the container port or near the Bund? Thanks

I haven't been to any of the ports you're going to, but have been on the PP. They did indeed hold our passports for the entire trip. We didn't have to worry about changing money, though, because everywhere we went, dollars were welcome.

As to the ports, try this website - www.cruisecal.com I don't know if you can get detailed port info, but at the very least you'll be able to see what other ships are in port with you on any given day.

Good luck getting answers, and have a wonderful trip. We loved our 24 days on the PP so much that we've booked 28 more days for 2007.

Amy
