dst Posted April 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2004 I have been to Grand Cayman once and it was in 1989! So I am asking for a bit of help, we are coming in on the Zuiderdam and was wondering if anyone can give a recomendation for a beach that we can hang out for the day with some snoreling. We plan to bring our lunch so a restaurant is no needed. Anyone that can give me a thought on what they have done would be really appreciated! MJL Posted May 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2004 We went to a public beach access next door to the governor's residence. It's close to the Westin. It's about $4 pp by cab each way. You can do some nice snorkeling about 75 yards off shore and still have a nice beach to enjoy. Or, you can rent a car and have many more options. brucejr Posted May 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Public Bus (actually they are mini vans) to Public Beach is $2.50US exact change, or better yet $5 for a couple. Walk 2 blocks in from the tender dock then a block or 2 to the left to where the buses depart. if there's a way to construe my post as non-argumentative, please do so. Cruise photos on my Home page Spring Break was on the Grand Princess 21, March 2004 So when is the next cruise? MJL Posted May 10, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Yes, this is part of Seven Mile Beach. It's probably 2-3 miles from the tender pier. You can actually see the ships tendered in the distance. I hope these links work.
