dock Posted June 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2005 We are going on Liberty 20 July 2005. Off course we have no info to learn from. Have any of you been to the Supper Clubs on Conquest/ Valor/ Glory? Did you think it was worth the cost and how much is it? Also we have 2 kids 11 and 16, so are kids welcome in these places? Was the menu better or nicer options? Thanks. I will definitely post a review after our cruise.
rhecker Posted June 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2005 we ate at the point on the Conquest. We felt it was way better than the main dining room. It is like eating at Ruth's Chris Steak house. It was much more intimate than the dining room. More like a good restaurant. Our son went to eat with Camp carnival that night. He is a picky eater and doesn't care for fine dining. We found that the food in the dining room was just o.k. Could be we are from New Orleans and use to great restaurants but we will be booking the point again on our next cruise
CZodda Posted June 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Dock, the food in Scarlett's is to die for! It's $30 plus tip, and WORTH EVERY PENNY! :-D I'm sure that kids are welcome, but, considering the price, try to keep in mind the style of food your kids would like. Are they picky eaters, or will they try just about anything? Something to think about there. If you feel they will enjoy fine dining then absolutely bring them along! It could make for a very memorable family meal! Have a great time whatever you decide to do! Cathy
woodman Posted June 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Well worth the added cost. The $30. also includes the tip. The service you have to experience to appreciate. The food was much better then the dinning room and I enjoy all the foods in the dinning room. Don't take the kids it is just for couples (In love) LOL. Go and enjoy. serene56 Posted June 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Kids? its up to you to know if they can sit through a dinner that takes almsot 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. It took me 5 cruises to talk my man into trying the supper club and i finally won out on our Miracle cruise. Now he is sorry that he didnt try it sooner. Yes it is very well worth the 30.00 bucks. (but depending on who you ask- the 30.00 was a service fee and did not include a tip) I could never eat in an upper scale place for that price. also-please note that you cant order as much as you want in the supper club as you can in the dining room. one entree per person or pay the etra 30 bucks. We had enough to roll us outta there with just one helping.
dock Posted June 19, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted June 19, 2005 Thanks for the info. Kids are well travelled and enjoy fine dining , but we have decided they can eat at buffet this night. Hubby and I will be trying it. Thanks for the menu. Will post info on Liberty after cruise.
jckvpa0 Posted June 19, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 19, 2005 We went on a formal night & a non formal night. I would have thought a tie & jacket was required no matter what night it was. This was not the case, on the non formal night most men did not wear a jacket & tie. Thought I would just give this little tid bit out as my dh & I had a disagreement over this,(the only one for the whole cruise). We loved the food in the Pointe & will dine there more on our next cruise.
