Hi, can anyone tell me the approximate taxi fare from Central Station to White Bay ? Thank you, Steve.

If you go to the TA Forum there's a couple of threads on White Bay access and one of them suggested for those interstate passengers to think about using the ship's shuttle ... here's his logic ...

 

"A taxi from Central, which is before Town Hall, to White Bay would be a shorter trip and cost about $20. The train fare from the Airport to central is $15.70 (full adult) each from the Domestic terminal. P&O is offering a transfer from the Airport at $20 a person. The transfer looks like a good option to me."

 

Presumably you are coming down (by train ?) from Newcastle so the shuttle from the airport isn't an option for you unless you are flying in.

 

The alternative to a taxi would be a bus.

Just did a check on Taxi Calculator and came up with $14.22 so should be under $20. Heres the suggested route

 

 

 

Head north-west on Eddy Ave towards Pitt St

Take exit The Crescent to merge onto The Crescent/Metroad 4 towards Ashfield/Parramatta

Check out towncars.com they used to charge $49 from the airport to Bangaroo

 

Ive used them from OPT to the Dom Airport and they charged $49.
