Impressive Customer Service and Loyalty Recognition

Recommended Posts

So I got off the Elation on Monday. Monday morning I couldn't find my purse and assumed I had packed it in the bag I put out the night before. So when I got home, I didn't find it in my suitcase and figured I must have left it out by the pool on Sunday...figured to never see it again. As it had no money, credit cards, or anything of value in it (that I remembered), I wasn't too worried about it.

So today my mother calls me to tell me Carnival is looking for me because they have my purse. Apparently it was turned in, sent to Miami's lost and found (I sailed New Orleans), and they found my mom's insurance card in there and called her. (don't ask me why her insurance card was in there, I have no idea...must have been way down in a pocket somewhere and must have been there for quite a while).

Anyway, the rep said they'd mail it to me. He said they usually charge $20 plus shipping costs, but they'd do it for free since I've sailed Carnival several times in the past (not quite Platinum). The other thing is, I totally forgot I had stuck one of my rings down in one of the pockets...so that would have been just lost forever.

I find the whole thing quite impressive. He also told me that Carnival is one of the few cruiselines who actually has a Lost and Found. He said usually, once you're off the ship, it's too bad so sad. Anyway, maybe I'll call CNN and let them know. Carnival needs some good publicity. :D:cool:

So glad you got your purse back.

Also, I will be leaving on the Elation cruise on May 23. What did you think of it? I haven't cruised on that ship before. Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Been on Elation many times and it remains one of our FAVORITE ships!! She may be older but don't let that fool ya......she is a beauty and we have always said that the Elation has had some of the best crew, cabin stewards, dining room attendants, really everything about her we like!!

Just get on, take a deep breath, and let all worries slip away.....YOU are about to be at sea and THAT is the place for me!!!!!! Have FUN!:D

Yeah, pretty much what he said! Excellent, really friendly service, good food! I will say it is the only ship I've been on where the line for Mongolian Wok was small! I actually got to try it! Good and spicy! The only bad line was for the hamburger station.

Otherwise, I'm kind of a terrible cruise reviewer because I don't do a thing but lay by the pool and go to the casino. And eat, of course! I saw no shows! Except the hairy chest contest, which was, as always, hilarious!

But I did not miss the big ship stuff at all. It was a fun cruise and I didn't find it lacking in any way. Have fun!! I wish I was going again!
