Wippi6 Posted May 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2013 Hello, I am thinking of taking my family (mom and dad - 80), hubby and myself - 43, kids ages 5, 3, 13 and 15. It's hard to find information on this cruise. It's the one leaving 12/28/13. Just wondering if you can tell me what things, besides the kids club they have on the cruise. We are also looking at NCL and RCCL so any help on what to choose would be greatly appreciated. I am worried there won't be enough pool/activities for them? shield022 Posted May 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2013 We booked the same cruise taking our 13 year old twins because its a port intensive trip with 4 stops and only 2 sea days. Also it was about $2k less the RCCL and NCL for the same route that week. There is also a Roll Call already started on this cruise!

Your msc cruise will be much cheaper than rccl but for the kids rccl will be alot more fun.
dad son team Posted May 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2013 I'm on the cruise with my DS and niece who has never cruised. I'm not sure what to expect with this sailing. Some say its great, some say not so. To each his own. Someone who cruised alot once said a cruise it what you make it to be. Very active or very sedate or somewhere in between. Your choice. I'm guessing MSC will do some modifications to the ship activities when it repositions year round to Miami in the fall. I think it will become more "Americanized" for the market. My DS loves RCCL, and is ok with Carnival, but now that he is getting older he tends to participate less in the organized programs. As long as there's a group of kids to hang with he's fine. On a NYE cruise I would think there will be alot.
