spitfire Posted June 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2005 Does anyone know if there is a lobster night onthe Horizon? This is a 'must do' meal for my husband. On our last cruise, the record was 9 lobster tails and my husband ate 6. He is anxiously awaiting another lobster feast.
Optifire Posted June 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Dont know about Horizon, but her sister ship, Zenith to Bermuda last year was a great lobster feast. We not only had it on formal night...but also they had it in the midnight gala buffet. The lobster was unbelievable. The tails must have been at least 2 lbs each and it was already shelled, and cut up into chunks but left in the shape of the tail, so you could take as much or as little as you wanted. They had caviar also. Red and Black. Beef Welliington was also a favorite on the gala buffet. If they have a gala buffet listed, dont miss it. You didnt say how many nights you were going for. I have found that most ships that are doing the 5 days or under are not serving the lobster. We did the 7 day to Bermuda last year in May on the Zenith. Good luck with your lobster feast and beatiing your record. That is what vacations are all about, right?
traveller99 Posted June 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Yes Horizon had lobster night the week of 6/04. Everyone at our table commented on how good it was, too. A good sixe lobster tail. In fact one of the group made a "surf and turf" of it. I don't remember which night it was, though. It was later in the week. All of the food was great, as was the service. spitfire Posted June 20, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Thanks for the information. I'm not a huge fan of lobster, but my husband will be thrilled to hear he can have it onboard..............he'll especially love the fact it may be offered more than once. We'll see how many he eats this time.....I'll let you know.
