WASUP Posted June 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2005 We are a party of 6, three adults and three kids...we are looking at 137 a piece for insurance, can you just insure the adults, as if anything were to happen to the children, we would certainly no go, either way, if they were a part of the cruise or staying home.. cruznliz Posted June 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2005 The way I understand the Princess insurance, if you are 2 adults and 2 children (under 18) in a cabin for 4, you only have to pay the insurance for the 2 adults. If the kids are in a cabin by themselves, I would imagine you would have to pay their insurance separately. This is the link to the Princess insurance: http://www.princess.com/planner/pdf/Travel_Care.pdf I would strongly recommend talking to your TA and/or calling Princess for clarification. Have a great cruise!
skarletohara Posted June 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I always get my cruise insurance through http://www.insuremytrip.com They have way better rates than Princess' insurance and more comprehensive coverage as well. I have used Travelex insurance and Travel Guard. Both are rated very highly.

S.S.Oceanlover Posted June 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2005 With Travelex you enter the ages of ALL the travelers and when purchasing it ask for the names of ALL the travelers. Bill

Can I say just the three adults? Thanks If having the kid on the policy is not going to cost you anything what advantage could there be to leaving him/her off? And if that kid needs a $20,000 airlift off the ship you'll be awfully sorry tou passed up the opportunity to insure that cost for nothing. jerseygirl3 Posted June 20, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 20, 2005 For the small cost of insuring the kids, you are not only insuring against cancellation, but also if one of them losses baggage, your trip is delayed, or if one of them were to become sick on the cruise, the ship's doctor bill would also be covered. It's a small price to pay for the peace of mind.
