spencercoop Posted May 19, 2013 #276 Share Posted May 19, 2013 It looks like they are using the action station concept instead of the long buffet lines. Which is definitely a major plus.
Kroosin Posted May 19, 2013 #277 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Hi Sarge, Thanks for the great food pics! We're taking the same itinerary you're on now in July. With only one sea day, what are they doing about scheduling the Elegant dinners?

cruzzza Posted May 19, 2013 #279 Share Posted May 19, 2013 I agree that the water slides look small. I wonder if I'd get claustrophobic in them. It's hard to tell, but it looks like large portions of them are not see-through.

2Ports Posted May 19, 2013 #281 Share Posted May 19, 2013 I saw on your website pictures of a "secret deck." I think it was 6, is that right? Sorry, that's our private balcony... :p (Our window looks out on it)

TravelMore99 Posted May 19, 2013 #283 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Hey Sarge - Looks like you're enjoying yourself and we're loving the pix. We've heard that there has been lots of trouble with the spa cabins and we're getting a little apprehensive since we're in cabins 10137 and 10135 on the spa deck for the June 7 sailing. If you happen to speak to anyone on that deck or have an opportunity to find out how those cabins are, we'd sure appreciate it. Also hoping that area of the ship is decent for folks who tend to get sea sick. My mother, who has that unfortunate tendency, is going with us on her first cruise. Thanks much and hoping you have a simply marvelous time!:o
b_cruise Posted May 19, 2013 #284 Share Posted May 19, 2013 So is ot "super crowded"like everyone was saying it would be? I, sailing in July and am worried about space.?
awval999 Posted May 19, 2013 #285 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Sargent I see you did one of Carnival's excursion for Marsielle. We still need to book one for that port and am curious if you liked it? I see it was the wine tour plus Avigon. Thoughts?
campdaan Posted May 19, 2013 #286 Share Posted May 19, 2013 The two coke soda machines pictured only take cash. Was told that they hope to add Sail and Sign shortly. Was told that not part of bottomless bubbles program. I wonder what the cost per can is... And does that include 15% gratuity ? ;)
moopig Posted May 19, 2013 #287 Share Posted May 19, 2013 I wonder what the cost per can is... And does that include 15% gratuity ? ;) On his blog there was a closer shot of the pop/soda machine and it was $1.95.

Sargent_Schultz Posted May 19, 2013 Author #290 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks to all (I think). I'll try to wade through some of the questions in the next day or three - whenever I can get an extended break from eating and touring. :) Only seen a few lines and no idea what for - think just people lining up to be first in the theater or comedy club. No bad lines at Guest Services that I've seen - probably not as bad as some regular cruises. There is some motion to the ship, but we were in some high winds and choppy water before porting in Marseille, more so after leaving, but that's Le Mistral for you. :D http://www.frenchentree.com/france-provence-living/displayarticle.asp?id=17217
28SAC Posted May 19, 2013 #291 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Hi, Pity about the weather, I hope it picks up for you. Have you noticed if the No under 21 rule is being enforced in the Serenity area or is it just open to all? It looks a really nice place on your pictures, thanks again for your effort. 28SAC

spencercoop Posted May 19, 2013 #296 Share Posted May 19, 2013 One quick question... Are the muster stations in the lounges/dining rooms like on the Dream class ships or are they still on the lifeboat deck on deck 4?
Dead-metal Posted May 19, 2013 #297 Share Posted May 19, 2013 I wonder if the PYOB station adds a 15% gratuity :) As it's self service, tip yourself the 15% as you are the bartender!

Although I did notice in one of Bills late night pics of the sunshine last night that there was a little bit of water in the main pool so hopefully it will be opened soon!!! Michellelhs Posted May 19, 2013 #300 Share Posted May 19, 2013 It is great to get a real look at the Sunshine! I'll be passing by you in Barcelona and getting ready to get on her as you leave her. I had no doubt that it would be great and the naysayers were over-hyping a lot of the bad on board but it is nice to actually have that confirmed! I see a ton of the folks from our May 26 roll call on here... we are going to have a fantastic time! One more sleep before I head to Spain! Thanks again! Love your review as always!
