Our ship will be in Marseille on Nov 1. I've been told that this is a Holy Day. Will the little blue train be running? Will we be able to get into the cathedral? Will restaurants be open?

Nov. 1 is a Catholic Holy Day. It is called All Saints Day. There will probably be a mass at the Cathedral. It may or may not be open between masses. You may want to see if they have a website with a mass schedule. Sorry, I can't help with your questions, but wanted you to know what it is called.

Thanks, I might just break down and take a ships tour. Wonder how they will handle this?

Depending on the cruise line they will tailor the tour to what will be open and some of the tourist areas will have something.you will be fine.
