Help me rationalize Tahiti / Fr. Pol.!!!

Tahiti is one of the places on my list of "I wanna go there". I just recently read Toto's review and it sounds like a wonderful place to go.

Julie - I was wondering what was up with the Group Cruise for Tahiti and no postings yet. When will prices be posted? I was thinking of May 2006 but if the rates are good I may consider August. Summer's not my favorite cruising time but would be flexible if it's a good deal.

Maureen, as Tiffany said prices and info are posted in the group cruises section and up in the blue border "Member Cruises." Here's the general info and the agent is having a special right now with $100 per person deposit through June 24 instead of $450pp.

Join this group as they sail on Tahitan Princess, the newest ship to join the Princess Cruises' fleet! In a nutshell: Tahitian Princess is a gorgeous vessel. The ship features elegant cherry-colored wood finishes, lush window treatments, and cozy upholstered furnishings in a design scheme that literally runs from stem to stern. Every room, from the casino bar to the spa's salon to individual cabins evokes that British country house hotel feeling. Continue reading Cruise Critic's Tahitian Princess Review.

I've not been to bermuda however I've been to the caribbean 3 times. I've also been to Europe 2 times, and multiple trips around the US and Canada. Just returned Saturday from the Tahitian Princess cruise. I would remortgage, beg, borrow, steal and max my credit cards for the Tahiti cruise in a heartbeat. Never have I seen such beauty. I agree with the poster who worries that these islands will become corrupt with commercialism within the next 5 years. I will definately return to this cruise before 5 years comes around. Pictures and descriptions do no justice. There were 4 of us on this trip. I am 45, DH is 49 and our daughters are 17 and 22. We all were in love with the islands. Night life on board went on without us after 11PM as we were worn out from the excursions everyday. Even on sea days when we relaxed all day wore us out!! I will be posting a review as soon as I get my notes together.

My vote.....Tahiti, Tahiti, Tahiti....no matter the air travel or the cost. By the way.....there will be round trip NY to Tahiti flight with Air Tahiti Nui beginning July 2005. Will cut travel time going east coast to LA to Tahiti.
