Chateau Hotel NOLA?

Can't comment on the hotel itself because I never stayed there but I can say that in my opinion, that is one of the absolute best locations in regards to being around the best things to visit in the French Quarter (Jackson Square, Café du Monde, Cabildo, French Market, St. Louis Cathedral, Ursuline Convenant, Irene's restaurant, Royal St., etc). You will be "in" the French Quarter and feel like you are in an old European City. It is not close enough to Bourbon Street though so you won't have the noise.

Staying "in" the French Quarter will be a unique experience as opposed to staying in any of the suburban areas around New Orleans and just visiting the French Quarter for the day. If this kind of things matters, I say it is worth the splurge.
