Shore ceremony/ cruise reception

I have just started the planning process and my brain is going into overload. i'm currently interested in the NCL ( why aren't there many NCL brides?) Gem for March 2015. Has anyone had a shore ceremony through an island coordinator, but a cocktail reception/party with a DJ on the ship?
