winste Posted June 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2013 Anybody know why NCL doesn't do Glacier Bay National Park on Southbound from Whittier? I'm still contemplating our first Alaska cruise for next summer and really want to hit both Hubbard and Glacier Bay. Flights for the Southbound work better for our dogs, one less day in the kennel. But Princess is only one that hits both on Southbound. I really want to go NCL. We've done HAL four times and want something more casual which wouldn't really be accomplished on Princess. More of a curiosity than anything else I am just trying to figure out why?

My guess would be that NCL didn't have enough of a quota allowance to cover all the itineraries and this is the one that got the short stick. RetiredArmyCruiser Posted June 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2013 We were just on the northbound cruise from Vancouver. Many, many, many - I think it was a majority of the passengers were staying on the ship to make it a 14-day trip. Besides the quotas in Glacier Bay, it could be to add variety to the 14-day itinerary.
