Any use Toursbylocals.com??

Has anyone used the Web site toursbylocals.com to find a local guide?? I am particularly interested in Puerto Montt where Andres O. has some interesting tours.

I would not go by recommendations for a website, but for an individual guide. ToursByLocals is a site that would-be guides sign up to be on, providing income to the site. Who vets them was unclear to me in the fine print on the site and the sign up info when I looked. So I would go only with a specific recommendation from a poster for a specific guide that they used.

I used Tours By Locals 3 times in the Med last year and was pleased with the results. The only problem that I had was of my making. Otherwise, everything was as advertised and we enjoyed the tours. The customers are the critics and Tours By Locals rely on us to to post our reviews as do the guides to ensure new and repeat business. We are looking at TBL for tours on our next cruise.
