Last day for free upgrade

Today is the last day for the free upgrade on fall bookings for an inside to outside and a outside to balcony.

 

Has anyone booked because of this sale and gotten the upgrade? Do you think this sale is a really good deal?

 

We called to book a room but the designated outside rooms were sold out(Dec. 8th Allure). We are going to book this date regardless as our flight is booked but we were hoping to get a room with a view:). I know everyone will say go for the balcony but we really don't spend enough time in our room to justify it. We don't think this particular date will increase in price if we don't book the sale and since the inside cabins don't have any real perks right now maybe we should hold out a bit longer.

 

Any other opinions would be appreciated.
