lmncruise Posted June 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Can you take a taxi to Rum Point? Does anyone know how much that costs? Would prefer not messing with renting a car. Thanks!
bookbabe Posted June 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Can you take a taxi to Rum Point? Does anyone know how much that costs? Would prefer not messing with renting a car. Thanks! A taxi to Rum Point would be about $80US each way, for a group of 2-3 people. A larger group would be more. It's about a 45 minute drive there, and you would need to pre-arrange the return trip (and keep your fingers crossed) because there would be no taxis waiting in the area to take you back to town. Personally, if you do not want to rent a car, I'd suggest you take an excursion that includes a stop at Rum Point. A taxi is not recommended for visiting Rum Point when in Cayman via cruise ship. CDNJehn Posted July 23, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2013 Taxi would be costly. You can rent a car from Avis or Cayman Auto Rentals and it's an easy drive up there.
