Who to choose...Peat Taylor or Courtney?

We will be visiting Jamaica in August and would like to take a private tour to Dunns Falls and the Irie Blue Hole in Ocho Rios. Between Cruise Critics and Trip Advisor, both Peat Taylor and Courtney Taylor appear to receive great reviews, which makes it hard to know which tour operator to choose. :confused:

 

I understand Peat and Courtney are brothers. Does one provide a better touring experience than the other and why? Has anyone used both and could share whom they preferred? If we don't get either Peat or Courtney themselves, what is the chance we would receive just as good as an experience with one of their other guides? Who would you suggest?

 

Any advice or suggestions in helping us make a decision on whom to choose would be appreciated.

Booked the day with Courtney's crew on June 19th. Looking forward to seeing Jamaica the Jamaican way!

We went with Courtney and had no regrets. He is simply fantastic! We actually ran into Peat during our tour! While I'm sure Peat does a good job, he takes larger groups than Courtney. We only had six in our group and it was one of our best days ever.

We booked Courtney and had a great day. But from the reviews, sounds like Peat's pretty good too.

Thanks to everyone who have responded so far. It looks like most on these boards have booked with Courtney and have had a good experience.

 

To those who have toured with Courtney, did you actually have Courtney himself or one of his other guides? The reason I am asking this is to determine if one of his other guides would provide just as good as a service as Courtney. On our past cruise we had booked tour operators based on their great reviews and ended up having one of their "other" guides. We ended up feeling disappointed because the "other" guide was a let down to the experience we read others had.

 

If anyone has any experience with Peat Taylor, I would love to hear about it!

I have read good things about Marvin too--but haven`t heard much about any of his other guides.:rolleyes:

We had the pleasure of having Courtney and Dean with us one day last week and only Courtney on Friday. Could not ask for anything better. Will use him again next time we are in jamaica. Yeah Mon. He is the best
