Traveling without a Passport

Has anyone ever had problems traveling with just a birth certificate and a photo id? Would be interested in hearing. Taking my daughter and family and they don't have passports.

As long as you aren't running late back to the ship in a port or have a medical emergency and have to stay behind in a port you will be fine.

 

If you do miss the boat for any reason, then you will have problems trying to get paperwork to be allowed to return to the US.

Not the end of the world, just alot of headaches.

 

Personally I would never leave the US without a passport, but many people do on cruises every day..
