Dolphin Excursion not booked through Carnival

This may have been posted before but as anyone ever done a dolphin swim in Grand Cayman while on Carnival but booking it themselves? I just tried and Dolphin Discovery said they will not let carnival passengers book bc of their deal with Carnival. My husband and I have done this before but our daughter has not so we wanted to just be observers and not pay to do it again. But by booking it through Carnival we would have to pay full price. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!!
