osucruise Posted June 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2013 Does Carnival Magic port in Geogetown, Cayman? I am just trying to see if there is close shopping/bars/dining that does not require taxi to get to from ship in Grand Cayman.

nchikk Posted June 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2013 A tender is required. Once on land, you have lots of options.
KOOLBEANS Posted June 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2013 Yes, it is Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and you don't dock, it is a tender in port (off ship onto a smaller transport called "tender" in to port. There are lots of places when you port to walk to, super nice port, very clean.

TxChick Posted June 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2013 I've tendered to 2 different piers, one was more upscale with your high end cayman shopping (Louis Vuitton, Rolex, etc) and one that was your run of the mill tourist shops. Its luck of the draw, I much prefer the higher end area but we only had to walk a few blocks to get to it.
