bob collier jr Posted June 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2013 We just returned home yesterday from Breakaway. We had an inside on deck 12 aft. We didn't notice any unusual noise. My parents were on deck 10 balcony midship and had lots of noise issues. Housekeeping was right next door to them as well as a younger couple of ladies that liked to drink and yell all hours of the night.

Coastalbreezes Posted June 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2013 If you are on the starboard side of the ship, your room may be under the fitness center. That happened to me last December and the noise was loud from weights constantly being dropped on the floor above me. Tracy

Rare mizLORInj Posted June 18, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Aside from not ever booking by a casino, club, theater, pool, etc. there really is no guarantee you won't have noisy neighbors. We are just back from Bermuda and night time wasn't an issue but early (too early!) in the morning was. We had Mr. Heavy Walker above us at 6:30am, noisy people on one side (I could hear them talking and even a vibrating alarm in the early morning!) and toilets flushing often. I am not too happy about this aspect of the cruise and finally felt like I got a decent night's sleep later in the week when either noise died down or I was too tired to notice! Oh, and loud conversations on balconies at all hours, and those who like to rearrange the 3 pieces of deck furniture. And doors slamming--why?!?!? :( That was about the only part of the cruise I found annoying--the rest was great. Problem is you never know who will be around you so we book and hope for the best.
