Hi,

 

We'll be staying in a cat.6 balcony cabin on the MSC Divina, but I'm wondering what my chances would be for an upgrade to a more spacious cabin?

 

What should I do, wail until embarkation and ask?

Is that a guarantee cabin or did you book a specific cabin? On the two occasions we had a guarantee, we received a slight upgrade, once from an inside to the lowst category ocean view and once from an inside to an inside on one of the upper floors. when we had a booking for a specific cabin, we received exactly that.

We booked a category 6 balcony cabin, so not a specific cabin. Did you ask for an upgrade or were you just lucky? How much did you pay for it?

No, didn't ask spcifically for the upgrade just got it. Last October we paid 499 EUR pp for an inside guarantee on the Orchestra, over New year's, we paid 369 EUR pp for an inside guaratee on the Spledida, both minus club discount.
