Embassy Suites New Orleans

Just wondering what people think of the embassy Suites in New Orleans? Have previously stayed there in Lauderdale before cruises and loved it and hoping the new orleans one is comparable. Do they have the managers reception here as well? Thanks in advance.:)

We stayed here December 27-30th last year. The hotel is nice. But with New Years, the Sugar Bowl and cruise travelers, the hotel was packed. I personally didn't think they were well suited to handle the crowd. They did have a managers reception but it was chips and salsa, long lines to get drinks and hard to find a place to sit. I imagine it's better when the hotel isn't so crowded.

As others have said, the location is great.
